Lydia graduated from Home School in 2009. She then attended Cowley College where she is pursuing a General Studies degree. She is active with Service Learning and is fluent in conversational sign language. She is a youth group leader at her church. She is also a member of Phi Theta Kappa and A.C.E.S. through Cowley College. She received her EMT certification from Cowley College in 2009 and has recently joined the WAEMS Reserves.
