Winfield Area EMS

Services
As a dedicated, community-based organization, multiple services are offered by Winfield Area EMS including public education, a Home Bound Assessment program and coverage for special events including the Winfield Country Round-Up, Cowley County Fair, etc.

Home Bound Assessment Program

The purpose of the Home Bound Program is to provide a means for Winfield Area EMS to provide a service to William Newton Hospital Staff Physicians and the citizens of Winfield. Winfield Area EMS will provide on-site professional patient assessments for the physician. This service is intended to assist patient access to health care and provide information to the physician to improve medical interventions. The program is available for those patients who can not see a physician in the clinical setting, however, do not meet the guidelines for Home Health Care or Hospice evaluations or assessments.

Public Education

Winfield Area EMS is dedicated to improving the public knowledge of healthcare relating to specifc illnesses, injuries, general knowledge of EMS and pertinent information regarding personal health and safety. Multiple education classes are held each year, most available to the public, with others being specifically for healthcare providers. If you have a topic you find interesting and would like information on or think it would be a good class, please contact Maj. Justin Waite at jwaite@winfieldems.org
.

MICT Training

Winfield Area EMS and Cowley College work closely together to train above average paramedics that, once out of school, are ready to enter the work force and provide superior patient care. With both organizations working close together, it has allowed several Cowley graduates to work through school and gain full time employment once certified.
